Nigerian singing sensation Wizkid will be performing at Lugogo Cricket oval on December 3 as pay TV StarTimes will be celebrating its sixth anniversary.
It will be the second time Wizkid will be performing in the country. This was revealed by Aldrine Nsubuga, the observer reports that, StarTimes vice president in charge of marketing during a press launch at the company offices in Kampala on Wednesday.
Wizkid will perform alongside Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, Navio, Winnie Nwagi, Irene Ntale, Maro, among other artistes.
As a new twist of events, the usual Kampala emcees will have an off-day and the event will be hosted by singer Vampino. “It is going to be a great show; so, I am preparing something different because it will be my first time as a host,” Vampino said.
“Actually, I’m planning on asking for a collabo with him,” she revealed.
“As a build-up to the event, we will be giving out 1,000 free tickets to both our subscribers and nonsubscribers,” Nsubuga told The Observer. He added that most tickets will be given out on air while others will be through draws.
As a way of also thanking their customers, the station will be free for two weeks from October 17 to 30.
“We want all our subscribers, even those that will not be able to make it to the show, to know that we care about them and to also ensure that those who are not on premium bouquet can get to watch all the channels they are missing,” he said.
Door charge to the event will be Shs 30,000 and Shs 100,000 for the VIP.
