1. Omueya Ede Dafinone
Ede Dafinone, born April 10, 1962, is currently the Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District since June 13, 2023, having succeeded Ovie Omo-Agege.
Dafinone, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2014, once affiliated with the Democratic People’s Party (DPP) from 2010 to 2014 and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 1998 to 2010.
Dafinone’s father, Senator David Omueya Dafinone, holds a Guinness World Record for the largest number of members in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Dafinone himself is a chartered accountant, a career he pursued after completing his education in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He attended Corona School in Lagos, Kings College Lagos, and Rugby School in the UK for his early schooling.
Then he later earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Economics from the Victoria University of Manchester and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Exeter.
Dafinone’s professional career includes times at Touche Ross & Co. Chartered Accountants in London and Crowe Dafinone, Chartered Accountants in Lagos, where he rose to become a Partner and later Deputy Managing Partner.
Aside from his accounting career, Dafinone holds directorship positions in companies like Sapele Petroleum Limited and serves on boards such as NEXIM Bank and the National Film and Video Censors Board.
Politically, he has been a consistent participant, notably as a founding member of the PDP in Delta State and later joining the APC.
2. Ewomazino Thomas Joel-Onowakpo
Ewomazino Thomas Joel-Onowakpo is the current Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District in Nigeria. Born on April 27, 1967, he is a Nigerian chartered accountant, businessman, and politician.
Joel-Onowakpo Thomas assumed office as Senator on June 13, 2023, succeeding James Manager, having had significant positions in Delta state.
He was the first executive chairman and the fifth chief executive of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue from July 24, 2009, to September 22, 2015.
Joel-Onowakpo Thomas represents the interests of Delta South Senatorial District in the 10th assembly being a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

3. Munir Chinedu Nwoko
Ned Nwoko is the Senator for Delta North, and he assumed office in June 2023 to succeed Peter Nwaoboshi. Nwoko was a member of the House of Representatives for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency from June 1999 to June 2003., and he is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ned was born on December 21, 1960, into the Nwoko Royal Family in Idumuje Ugboko Kingdom, Aniocha North Local Government Area.
He obtained his education both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, earning degrees in Law and History from the University of Keele and an LLM in maritime and commercial law from King’s College London.
He was called to the English bar at Lincoln’s Inn and later received an Honorary Doctorate in Letters from Commonwealth University College, Belize, North America. Nwoko practiced law in the UK, eventually establishing his law firm, Ned Nwoko & Co Solicitors in London.
He’s a member of the House of Representatives and has made significant contributions, such as initiating the London and Paris Club Loans refund into Nigeria. Ned Nwoko is also known for his advocacy work, particularly in malaria eradication.
He founded the Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project and has undertaken expeditions to raise awareness about the cause, including a historic trip to Antarctica in January 2020.
Additionally, Nwoko is involved in tourism and education initiatives. He founded Mount Delta, a tourism destination, and Sports University, the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.
Through his foundation, the Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation, he has contributed to various philanthropic causes, including youth empowerment and education.
