1. Heacho Allwell Onyesho
Allwell Heacho Onyesoh, born on December 26, 1960, is a Nigerian politician from Rivers State. He currently serves as a senator in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing the Rivers East Senatorial District.
Allwell has a notable political background, having previously held positions such as Commissioner for Education and later Commissioner for Sports under former Governor Peter Odili.
In 2008, Allwell Heacho Onyesoh was appointed as the Chairman of the Senior Secondary School Management Board.
During his tenure, he facilitated the employment of approximately thirteen thousand, hundred and fifty-five graduate teachers in Rivers State, demonstrating his commitment to education and human resource development.
On February 25, 2023, Allwell Heacho Onyesoh achieved a significant milestone by being elected as the Senator representing Rivers East.
This accomplishment was a historic moment as he became the first individual from the Etche ethnic group to hold such a position in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He secured this position under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), succeeding Senator George Thompson Sekibo.

2. Ipalibo Ipalibo Banigo
Ipalibo Gogo Banigo, a Nigerian medical doctor and politician, currently serves as the senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District since 2023. She’s the first female deputy governor of Rivers State, holding the position from 2015 to 2023.
Born on December 20, 1952, in Degema, Rivers State, Banigo has had a remarkable career course seen by academic excellence and public service.

Over the years, she had different positions within the Rivers State Ministry of Health, including Director of Public Health Services, Acting Commissioner, Director-General, and Permanent Secretary. Banigo also acted as Secretary to the Government of Rivers State and Head of Service of the state.
She’s continued to provide invaluable services, including as a Public Health Adviser for the Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria and holding executive roles at the National Primary Health Care Development Agency.

3. Barinada Barry Mpigi
Barinada Barry Mpigi has been actively involved in politics, representing the Tai–Oyigbo–Eleme constituency as a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives before moving to the Senate.
