Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha currently serves as the Senator representing the Kaduna North Senatorial District in the 10th Nigerian National Assembly.

Born in Kaduna, Mustapha is a Nigerian national and is dedicated to serving his constituents in the Kaduna North Senatorial District. He assumed office on May 29, 2023, succeeding Suleiman Abdu Kwari.

Mustapha, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), won the 2023 Nigerian general election, defeating his opponent, Sulaiman Abdu Kwari.

He served as a member of the House of Representatives representing Soba Federal Constituency from 2007 to 2015 during the 6th and 7th Assembly.

During the primary election, Mustapha won with 257 votes, securing his position as the official PDP candidate for the 2023 Nigerian general election.

He brings years of legislative experience and a commitment to the development of his constituency and Nigeria as a whole.

As an incumbent senator, Mustapha continues to represent the interests of the people of Kaduna State North District, working towards the advancement of his constituents and the nation.

Abdullahi Muhammad Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC), trailed behind with 182,035 votes. Ibrahim Muhammad Sani from the Labour Party (LP) had 87,510 votes, while Umar Ahmad Tijjani of the NNPP obtained 24,395 votes.

Gankon Samuel Kattey, running under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), secured 3,106 votes. As the representative of the PDP, she holds a prominent position in the Senate, tasked with advocating for the interests of her constituents and contributing to legislative processes at the national level.

Sunday Marshall Katung

Sunday Marshall Katung is a Nigerian politician and lawyer currently serving as the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District since June 2023.

Before his senatorial tenure, he served as a member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, representing the Jaba/Zangon Kataf Federal constituency of Kaduna State from June 2015 to June 2019.

Katung’s educational background includes attending Kufena College, Wusasa Zaria, and the College of Arts & Science, Zaria.

Then he advanced his education at the University of Lagos, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree, and later pursued a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Also, he holds a Diploma certificate in Legal Drafting and Conveyancing from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Akoka, Lagos.

Katung was also the Commissioner of Water Resources and Finance in Kaduna State, as well as serving as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation.

He has been affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has actively participated in elections, winning both a seat in the House of Representatives and later securing the Senatorial seat for Kaduna South in 2023.

During his time in the House of Representatives, Katung advocated for principles such as a free market economy with a social conscience, family values, community empowerment, and human rights within a federal system.
